Accounts Receivable Technician 

Status: Permanent, Full Time, St-Laurent, Quebec

Reports to:  Corporate Controller

The Accounts Receivable Technician reports to the Corporate Controller and will be responsible to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring of incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts by following established company policies and procedures and in accordance with the Federal and Provincial legislation.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an up-to-date billing system
  • Generate and send out invoices
  • Follow up on, collect and allocate payments
  • Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines
  • Perform and generate account reconciliations and aging’s
  • Monitor customer account details for non-payment, delayed payments and other irregularities
  • Research and resolve payment discrepancies
  • Update and maintain Accounts Receivable customer files and records
  • Process credit card payments
  • Prepare bank deposits
  • Investigate and resolve customer queries
  • Process adjustments and credits
  • Assist with month-end closing
  • Collect data and prepare monthly metrics

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Accounts Receivable experience
  • Knowledge of general bookkeeping procedures and general accounting principles
  • Familiar with foreign currencies
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks and SAP is preferred
  • Proficiency in English and French (oral and written)
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
