Every morning at 4:30 AM local time, the PQube 3 copies the recorded files of the previous day’s trends and events to the external SD card. The folder structure copied is identical to the folder structure accessible via FTP, i.e. year, month, day. Automatic SD backup is an option that can be activated with the PQube configurator using firmware 3.5.6 and above.
There are two ways to check the amount of data:
The maximum length of wire recommended for a split-core CT and a PQube 3 is 500 ft (152 m).
Simply copy the Setup.ini file onto the USB stick that comes with the PQube. Insert the USB into the top USB slot located underneath the blue lid. This will activate an onscreen message stating a new Setup has been detected. Press YES to apply. PQube 3 will automatically restart and apply the settings.
How to download data from a PQube 3 using a USB or microSD card?
• Using a USB, select SAVE FILES, USB, and choose TODAY, THIS WEEK, LAST WEEK, THIS MONTH or LAST MONTH.
• Using a microSD, the data is automatically backed up nightly. The card may fill up over time so it’s a good idea to check the card and clear space as needed.
When downloading data, there are no date ranges. However, you can use the FREE Report Writer program to generate a report based on a date range.
No. The FTP function on the PQube 3 is designed for transferring files only. To delete files from your PQube 3, use the CLEAR DATA function using a web page and the PQube 3 display.
When the PQube 3’s internal memory reaches 75%, it will automatically delete older data to free space for new data.
Power off the unit. Wipe the accessible parts of your PQube 3 with a slightly damp lint-free cloth. Do not use abrasives or chemical cleaners.

The estimated life expectancy of a PQube 3 and PM1 module is 10 years based on an operating temperature of 20-30 degrees Celsius.
A PQube 3 does not have an on/off switch because it is designed to run continuously.
A PQube 3 doesn’t automatically download files via FTP to a workstation or server. You need to manually initiate an FTP client session with the PQube to start the transfer of files. However, some third-party solutions to share. Use CN Rood’s DSS Platform or Tectra’s MPMS software program both will automatically initiate downloads.
How can I enable the PQube3 to display the present screen on the web interface?
You can put the PQube3 in a mode where the web page adds a button [Display] and shows a copy of the PQube3 screen display. To do this:
Ensure you turn this tag OFF after the demo when enabled, this feature is CPU intensive and slows PQube 3's reaction time.
Can I use the same USB stick to collect measurement data from several PQube3's?
Yes. Each PQube 3 creates its own folder on a USB stick as /P300XXXX, where XXXX is the last 4 digits of a PQube3 serial number.
What are the isolation level and isolation impedance between the mains terminals and the analog terminals?
The isolation level between mains voltage terminals L1/L2/L3/N to earth, per IEC 61010 is 4700 VDC. The overall isolation between analog/digital and mains voltage terminals is also 4700 VDC. The impedance between the analog terminals and the mains terminals is approximately 5 to 6 Mohms. Because the analog circuits and mains voltage circuits are interconnected through electronic components, a direct impedance measurement done with a multi-meter between those terminals may give a different value/result.
Can you erase the measurement data from PQube3 memory?
Yes, if you are physically in front of the PQube 3. This can be done by using the touch screen buttons [Actions][Clear]. This erases the measurement data folder and the system logs. The configuration, the firmware, and the calibration information remain unaffected.
How does a PQube3 synchronize with NTP or SNTP protocols?
PQube 3 achieves NTP synchronization by implementing an application under Linux called "NTP". This application requests a time update at an interval whose duration can be set in the configurator from one hour to several days. PQube 3 achieves SNTP synchronization by implementing an application under Linux called "NTPdate". Both of these applications are clients, regularly requesting a time update to a single distant server.
