Position: Manufacturing Technician
Status: Permanent, Full Time – Alameda, CA
Report to: Director of Operations
Responsibilities and Duties
Among other duties, this position manufactures and assembles precision test and measurement equipment, calibrates and tests the products, assists with inventory. It is a physical job that requires lifting up to 50 pounds and assisting team members in lifting materials as well.
- Assembly of printed circuit boards into enclosures
- Quality control logging of test and calibration information
- Product labeling
- Packaging products for shipping and receiving packages and processing
- Manufacturing and assembling precision test and measurement equipment
- Assisting the purchasing and shipping departments with projects as needed
- Working on inventory control and participating in inventory counts
Qualifications and Skills
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with a valid government issued identification
- Should be mechanically-inclined and detail oriented
- Need to have fine motor dexterity to assist with assembly, calibration and packaging
- Must be able to follow verbal instruction as well as documented instruction
- Should be a self-starter with an inquisitive nature. Being able to take the initiative and to ask questions is a plus
- Prior experience in manufacturing is a bonus but not required
- Be team oriented, energetic, and a sense of humor is a plus!
